The Shack by Wm Paul Young – If you haven’t read this amazing, inspiring story, please do . You won’t be disappointed. It’s not often you get to spend time with God, not like this anyway.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak – This is another one I was late in discovering. It is an inspiring and heartbreaking story like no other. This book will take you back to childhood when like was simple, even though the backdrop is the harsh reality of Nazi Germany.
Bewilderment by Richard Powers. – This unusual story may leave you unsettled, but it will make you think about parenting a special child and the tough decisions made by a father.
A Christmas Memory by Richard Paul Evans - A true story that is simply unforgettable.
Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver - The story of a young man trying to find his way through obstacles that started early in life. And, while I normally struggle with books that win big awards, this one deserves every accolade it receives.
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - When you look back at your life, what seems like a missed opportunity or a wrong decision may not be wrong after all. A great read.
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles - Not allowed to leave his hotel, ever, see how this man overcomes detention and actually thrives in his relationships, always taking the high road.
